A concrete driveway around Billings, Laurel, Lockwood and across the Yellowstone Valley lives a harder life than the same slab would almost anywhere south of here. It gets plowed, iced, frozen, thawed and frozen again — sometimes all in the same week. We pour concrete driveways built for exactly that: a compacted base, mix batched for exterior work in this climate, and control joints laid out so the slab manages Montana weather instead of losing to it.
We handle the whole range — new drives, full tear-out and replacement of drives that are past saving, plus extensions, aprons and parking pads. And if you're weighing concrete against blacktop, we install both sides and will give you a straight comparison — see asphalt paving — instead of selling whichever one we happen to be holding.

Most driveway failures don't start in the concrete — they start underneath it. Soft or poorly compacted ground settles, water finds the low spot, and the slab cracks along it. So before we pour anything, we deal with the dirt: grade it, fill where it needs fill, and compact it until the slab has ground under it that isn't going anywhere.
The pour itself follows suit: forms set straight and to grade, concrete placed, screeded and bull-floated flat, then broom-finished so tires still grip when the surface is wet or snowy. Control joints go where the slab actually needs them — spaced to the pour, not copied off a template — because concrete is going to crack somewhere, and the joints decide where.
Exterior concrete in cold country gets poured with air-entrained mix for a reason: millions of microscopic air pockets that give freezing water somewhere to expand without breaking the surface apart. Combine that with a finish that sheds water and a slab sloped to drain away from the garage instead of puddling against it, and you've got a driveway built for the valley's freeze-thaw swings.
We'll also tell you how to protect it while it's young — keep deicing salt off it the first winter, and give it about a week before it carries vehicles. A flat, well-jointed slab is the plow-friendly option too: no heaved edges for a blade to catch in January.
If your existing drive is cracked through, settled toward the garage, or flaking off its top layer, patching it again is money down the hole. We handle removal and replacement start to finish — old slab hauled off, base rebuilt, new drive poured right — one crew, one schedule.
And a driveway rarely stands alone. While the forms and the crew are on site, it's the efficient time to pour the walks, steps or patio in the same visit. Tell us what the whole property needs and we'll quote it as one job, anywhere on our service area.

(406) 717-4103From the first look at the job to the final walk-through, here is exactly how it goes.
We come see the actual job — the slab, the driveway, the lot, and the ground under it. What failed, why it failed, and what the fix really is. No blind quotes over the phone.
You get a free written quote with a real number and a real timeline. It says what's included — tear-out, haul-off, prep, materials — and it holds unless the scope changes.
The crew shows up when we said and does the job the way we quoted it — tear-out, base, forms, pour, pave, seal or stripe. Anything unexpected, you hear about it immediately, not on the invoice.
We walk the finished work together before we call it done. Clean lines, clean site, old material hauled off, and clear guidance on cure times and care. Done means you say it's done.

View DetailsWe do not patch over failed concrete or jack sunken slabs. Cracked, heaved or spalled flatwork gets torn out, hauled off, and poured new — done once, done right.
